What the specification means in practice
A pH of around 11 puts the formula on the alkaline side, and the technical data sheet describes the odour as mild solvent. Read the limitation list in that light — the surfaces Selleys excludes are excluded for a reason, and the safety directions ask for protective gloves and clothing including eye and face protection, and for washing your skin thoroughly after handling.
Streak-free is a function of technique as well as chemistry. The directions are to spray directly on the surface and then wipe. Working in shade rather than direct sun, and wiping while the surface is still wet, is what lets a cleaner flash off evenly instead of drying in patches. The product does the dissolving; the wipe does the finishing.

Shower screens, balustrade panels and secondary glazing are sometimes one and sometimes the other, and they look similar once there is a film of soap or dust on them. If you cannot establish which one you have, treat the panel as acrylic and use something else on it.
Plain glass versus tinted glass. Tinted windows are excluded, without qualification as to how the tint was applied. If a window is tinted, this is not the product for it, however ordinary the glass looks from the outside.
The pane versus the frame. Painted, lacquered and varnished surfaces are excluded, which puts most window frames outside the use list even when the glass in them is not. Spray onto the glass rather than across the whole opening, and wipe promptly if the product runs onto the frame.
Limitations — where it should NOT be used
- Not suitable for tinted windows. Window film and factory tints are a different surface from the glass underneath, however much they look like glass.
- Not suitable for acrylic surfaces. This rules out acrylic "glass" panels, many shower screens in older units, and acrylic splashbacks.
- Not suitable for fibreglass.
- Not suitable for painted, lacquered or varnished surfaces. That includes painted window frames, so keep the spray on the pane and wipe promptly if it runs onto the frame.
- Do not mix with detergents and other chemicals.
- The product may be incompatible with some surfaces — test an inconspicuous area first.

Every declared ingredient is under one percent; the balance is water and non-hazardous components. That is what a glass cleaner is — a very dilute surfactant system whose job is to lift a thin film and then evaporate without leaving residue, since residue is what causes streaking.
The three actives are all surfactants: an amine oxide and a sulphonate to lift oils and fingerprints, with triethanolamine as a mild alkaline buffer. There is no solvent load, no flammability classification, and the single hazard is eye irritation — which matters mainly because this product is sprayed at face height onto mirrors and windows.
