Undo Glue Hook & Gel - Selleys

Selleys Undo combines removable glue gel with reusable hooks for hanging and decorating. Choose the correct hook size for the load and check that the surface is suitable before installation.

Prepare, attach and remove

  1. Use a clean, structurally sound surface. Follow the retail hook instructions to clean and dry it; the TDS also mentions damp-surface adhesion, which should not override the preparation instructions for your installation.
  2. Apply the glue as directed on the pack and press the hook firmly for 30 seconds.
  3. Wait at least 24 hours and allow full cure before loading. Cold conditions can require longer.
  4. To remove, twist anticlockwise without pulling, then peel away residue. Check a small area first.

Can I use Undo on freshly painted or delicate surfaces?

Wait at least 28 days after painting. Use structurally sound surfaces, test first, and avoid surfaces vulnerable to damage or staining. The TDS excludes polyethylene, polypropylene and PTFE. Use mechanical fasteners for valuable items.

Do the three-day and five-day statements limit hook life?

The published directions contain ambiguous wording about three days on porous surfaces and five days on non-porous surfaces, alongside advice to renew glue every two years.
