Liquid Nails Landscape is an adhesive for outdoor landscaping work. Before choosing it for a particular finish or application, check the exact cartridge and its matching documents: Selleys' published sources disagree on several specifications.

Which specifications need confirmation?

Checked on 24 September 2026. The Australian product page, the technical data sheet version 2.1 dated 23 November 2020, and the Australian SDS version 7.0 dated 16 November 2023 should not be combined into a single, unqualified specification.

The documents do not establish why these details differ. This page does not infer a reformulation or declare either set universally applicable. Confirm paintability, colour, cure timing and application directions with Selleys for the pack you intend to use. Do not plan a painted finish on an assumed yes or no.

Choosing and applying the product

The product page describes outdoor bonding on timber, masonry and stone. The older TDS also names pavers, capstones and stone steps. For a specific job, obtain instructions that match the product supplied rather than mixing directions from different documents.

The cleanup directions are another example: the product page says to remove excess before it sets, while the 2020 TDS says to let squeeze-out cure before trimming. The older TDS also excludes permanent immersion, friable surfaces and use as the sole structural bond. Retain those restrictions unless Selleys supplies applicable instructions that resolve them.

Safety: Australian SDS version 7.0

Section 2 of the product-specific SDS dated 16 November 2023 identifies Danger: H227 (combustibility), H317 (allergic skin reaction) and H318 (serious eye damage). These are the classification statements for this named document, not a classification borrowed from Liquid Nails Original or another adhesive.

Use protective gloves, clothing and eye/face protection; avoid contact and inhaling vapours; keep away from ignition sources. Follow the pack and matching SDS for handling, storage and first aid. For eye exposure, the SDS calls for immediate irrigation and urgent medical attention. Read the linked SDS for the full instructions. Non-dangerous-goods transport status does not mean the product is non-hazardous.

Can I paint it, and which colour will I get?

The sources disagree. Confirm both details for your cartridge before purchase or use; the comparison above records what each source actually says.

Does a 24-hour minimum mean fully cured?

No. A minimum waiting period and a full-cure specification are different. Obtain the applicable cure and loading instructions for your pack and joint before putting it into service.

Is the old technical sheet the current specification?

It is a dated manufacturer reference. Its availability online does not prove it applies unchanged to every cartridge now sold.
